BFI launches MUSIQUE!
Research on the potentials embedded in the diversity of Indonesian traditional songs begun since 2004 has accomplished a fascinating results. The innovation is named the Physics of Music.
The "Physics of Music" grows musical intelligence computationally to generate songs autonomously. This accomplishment is regarded to be, the world pioneering work on generative music based on the varsities of traditional songs
The research is brought by mapping of the traditional songs found in Indonesian archipelago (as collected in Indonesian Cultural Heritages Digital Library, http://www.budaya-indonesia.org/). The research thanks participation of public submitting and contributing data at the portal.
The preliminary version of the "Physics of Music" is officially launched for the first time in Indonesian Creative Products Week July, 23-27, 2010. Thus, research also thanks Research & Technology Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia for helping the diffusion of the results.

Problem Tree of Disasters in Indonesia
The research related to the interdependencies among factors related to social aspects and natural disasters has yielded a portrait of the "Problem Tree of Disasters in Indonesia". It is now available online under the Dept. Computational Sociology in the institute.
Problem Tree of Disasters in Indonesia is a kind of visualization presenting: - Links of events related to natural disasters and each aspect related within. A fact that the archipelagic geography of Indonesia is so dense with natural disasters while a lot of problematic things also occurs in the social system.
- Way for simpler visual and interactive representation of the complexities in its big picture as a whole for the inherent interdependence of all the included factors, be it natural or social.
